They Are 1!!!

The babies had their first birthday on Thursay, November 5! We made it through the first year! Now for the second year...

We had the family over for cake and ice cream. It's always so telling to see how babies react to their first cake. Surprisingly, our little sweet Hannah was the one to be the most aggressive cake-eater! And Bella, our adventurer, was as dainty as can be, picking little bites each time. We barely even had to wipe her face and wash her hands when she was done! And Eden, well, she loved the cake and was up past 10:00 p.m., wired from all the sugar. I could've predicted that.
Needless to say, I was completely exhausted by the time the party was over. In fact, I'm still pretty exhausted. Oh, wait a minute, maybe that's from my life, not just the party...

Family Pictures

I finally got up the courage to get family pictures taken! It actually went surprisingly well, and we've been awaiting the proofs for over a month. I got them back 2 days ago, hurried home, slapped them in my computer, and VOILA! Here you go...the Dave and Julie Tate Family in the fall of 2009! ALL 9 OF US! Of course, if I posted them all, then there wouldn't be any room for a written post.

You may be wondering how on Earth we got everyone to cooperate! Well, I've discovered that the faster you can get the pictures done, the better it goes. Also, taking your kids to a location that is filled with many interesting things to look at helps, also. My boys in particular were so occupied looking at all of the antique things at this location that they had a much harder time finding things to fight about. Don't worry, it wasn't flawless--but I'll spare you the details. I'm so relieved they turned out like they did!

One year ago

My family posted cute noted on my wardrobe so that I could feel their love even though they couldn't be there with me all the time.

This is my home...I mean bed. I lived here for 2 weeks before the babies were born. Do you like how my tummy peeks out from under my shirt? Well, when you get as big as I was, there aren't maternity clothes that fit.

On my way to get my non-stress test. They should call it a "cause the mother stress-test" because that's exactly what it did--cause me tremendous stress. It even brought me to tears at times because laying on the bed I couldn't even breathe and was in pain. I know, I'm just beautiful. You can wipe the drool off your chin now.

Ben and I had breakfast in bed shortly before I was admitted to the hospital. He'll never be able to say I wasn't around the year he was 4!

One year ago I was in the hospital on bedrest, having my blood pressure checked every 3 hours, taking medication to stop labor, having the babies monitored every three hours, having stress tests every other day (which were a nightmare), eating terrible food that all tasted the same, with the highlights of my day being the single visit from Dave and the morning and evening visits from Dr. Terry. Many of you were so sweet to come spend time with me to try to help pass the time. Many of you brought dinner to my family or brought me REAL FOOD so that my taste buds could awaken for a few minutes.
One of my favorite memories from my hospital stay occured one Sunday morning when the Church members brought me the sacrament. They read a verse from "The Lord is My Shepherd" and tears streamed down my face. I was overcome with joy and humbled to be taking the sacrament and realized that because I had been on bedrest so long that I hadn't partaken of the sacrament in months. I appreciated those sweet people so much for caring enough to share that moment with me. I'll never forget the feeling of being in such a state of suffering and thinking about Jesus Christ in Gethsemane and knowing that somehow He could know of the pain and condition I was in and feel it and I was reminded that I was not alone.
We are never alone. And we survive. I survived!

tatertot booties

Hey there, sorry to be MIA for a while. It's been a little crazy at my house, to say the least. In fact, when people ask me how it's going, I'm usually pretty speechless, mostly because there aren't words to describe my life! The babies are almost a year old and I can't believe it. While they are so adorable and I so look forward to sleeping through the night again in my life (between the three of them, it seems there's always one who awakens in the middle of the night and needs something), I'm sad they will not be babies much longer.

I just had to post these pictures. These cute little bootie labeled pants were gifts from our favorite NICU nurse, Jennie. In the NICU they name triplets Baby A, Baby B, and Baby C. Of course they are tatertots, and she added their names. She's so sweet and thoughtful! I love them, of course, and the cutest is to see their little labeled booties crawling around the house!

Thanks so much, Jennie!

a challenge

Triplet Mom Thought of the Day: This is challenging. Laundry and meals for 9 people, 3 toddlers who need to be constantly watched and who need random objects fished out of their mouths MANY times a day, dishes dishes dishes, my own physical therapy, a marriage to attend to, unique needs of 4 older children, 1 teenager and 1 on the brink of teenage-ness, cleaning my house, tidying up toys, toys, toys, trying to find time to exercise, trying to find some elusive alone time, trying to stay on top of my spiritual needs, date night, never enough sleep, very little "gal" time, and on top of everything else...now I HAVE A COLD!!!

10 months old

Look at Eden reaching for Hannah's hair--she loves to pull it!

Eden (Edie-bopper)

Bella (Bella-boo)

Hannah (Hannah-darlin')

Can you believe my girls are 10 months old? Their personalities are becoming so distinct now! We call Bella the "little adventurer," Eden is the "party girl," and Hannah is our lovey-dovey "Hannah darling." They are starting to interact, giggle at each other, wake each other up from naps on purpose (much to my chagrin), and take toys out of each others' hands (and scream when that happens!). It's actually usually just Eden that takes toys out of the other girls' hands. And guess what...it's starting to get EASIER! But I don't want to jinx it by saying it. They even usually take their morning nap at the same time, and I can use that time to do whatever needs doing (I still use it most of the time to lay down myself because I'm still trying to catch up). It's beautiful. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL!

Spiritual Thought

So my prayers recently have turned toward having help learning the lessons Heavenly Father wants me to learn from this experience. And today I heard the most incredible talk on BYUtv (which I rarely watch, but just happened to flip by today) given at Education week this year by Brad Wilcox. His topic was the atonement and if you are interested in feeling completely moved and understanding the atonement and its vast purpose I highly recommend you look it up. I think you can find in on byub.org. One quote has stayed with me throughout this evening so I'll share:

"Jesus Christ doesn't love us because WE are good, He loves us because HE is good."

It always feels good to be reminded that the Lord is listening to the yearnings of my heart and that He is willing to find ways to inspire me and nourish my soul. This talk for some reason was exactly what I was longing to hear today and Heavenly Father found a way to get it to me. I know that without Jesus I am nothing and that with Him I can accomplish all He wants me to do. I cannot deny Him, nor would I ever try. Jesus loves me, this I know! If I ever were to doubt it, all I'd have to do is look at the light in my babies' eyes. I have enough evidence of His love in my life to convince the harshest skeptic.

oops...forgot

So for this entire year I've been pumping breastmilk. If it makes you uncomfortable to read about it, you're reading the wrong blog. Anyway, I've been pumping. The milk flowed like crazy for the first 5 1/2 months while the babies would stil nurse, but once they decided they only like bottles and refused to nurse, the milk production steadily declined. Being the dedicated breastmilk provider that I am, I have perservered in providing it for them. Until the past week. I don't know what happened, something in me switched off or something like that. Okay, part of it is my fault since I was only pumping 3 times a day for the past couple of months and then I decided that I'm so tired all the time that maybe twice a day is okay. So I dropped to morning and night. But it all fell apart last Saturday when I went the entire day and PLUM FORGOT to pump! Woke up, worked out, did jobs around the house, etc., and even went swimming with the fam that afternoon. I even noticed that my breasts felt full when I put on my swimsuit around 5p.m. and it didn't even dawn on me then that I had forgotten to pump that morning! At about 8 p.m. it occured to me that I didn't remember pumping that morning. So I asked Dave if he'd seen any of my milk in the fridge. Nope. I felt like such a slacker! How could I completely forget like that? As if I hadn't been pumping multiple times a day for the past 10 months! As if I didn't have three babies crawling all around me all day to remind me that they need milk! As if I wasn't getting engorged from going almost 24 hours without pumping! Well, now I have proof that my brain is turning to mush.

new measurements

So the girls went in for their checkup and we got their new measurements!

Hannah: 19 lbs. 11 oz., 28 3/4 inches--she's in the 90th percentile!
Bella: 18 lbs. 3 oz., 28 1/4 inches--50th percentile on weight, 75th on height
Eden: 17 lbs. 1 oz., 28 inches--10th percentile on weight, 75th on height

My little girls are growing up!

family pictures

So we're getting ready to have family pictures taken and I don't know why but the stress of figuring out what everyone is going to wear is keeping me up at night! Finally my sister advised me that because of all that I've been through, what I should do is pick out my favorite outfit and then plan around that...BRILLIANT! Now, what is my favorite outfit...oh, it still doesn't fit because my triplet gut is still hanging out there! AARGH! I think I'll get off the computer and go make an appointment with a plastic surgeon!

Who are you?

So my cluster map showing who has viewed my blog has been reset because it's been a year since I set it up. I think that's kind of cool. However, it says that 32 people have visited in the past 3 days, all in the US, but no one has left comments or anything and it leaves me to wonder who is viewing my blog!!! Do I know you are you just surfing blogs? Do you find my info interesting? How can I better meet your information hunger? ha ha ha of course I'm joking but really, if you are viewing my blog I'd love a comment or something because I don't get very many and so it leaves me to wonder who out there is reading up on us? Or maybe you're checking to see if I've updated it. Newsflash--I don't have very much free time!

Nine Months!

Do you know who's who yet???
Hannah, Eden, Bella top to bottom

Can you believe the girls are already 9 months old??? They are going to be toddlers before I know it. They are so adorable...giggling and laughing and lighting up when I go in to get them out of their cribs in the morning. I love being their mom. Their personalities are so different and it's fun to see them grow. Hannah is quiet and lovey-dovey, Bella is full of ambition and a go-getter, and Eden is the spunky, party girl, always ready for a laugh! I'm torn between wanting them to grow and develop and wanting to stop time. I always said that it's a good thing that kids grow up fast because if they slowed down I'd never make it through the parenting years, but I'm trying to enjoy every day to its fullest. I crash each day around 7 p.m. still because I don't have quite enough energy yet to make it through an entire day. The other day my mom asked me if perhaps I was having some post-partum depression. Nope, just sleep deprivation and a million things on my to-do list! After all, I'm only one mom.

We Love the Park!

Hannah is so happy to be out of the house!

"Here we go!" Hannah and Haylee about to slide

You can tell Eden has moved on and is ready to head to the next activity, can't you?! Tyson and Ben are such good big brothers! She's in good hands.

"Are you sure about this, Tanner?" asks Bella.

Eden is caught in the act of picking grass while Bella, the only one crawling as of this date, is marooned on a blanket, a little fearful of the grass.

For a family night activity we went to a nearby park and had a great time! In today's crazy, busy world where everything is so expensive and seems so far away or so inconvenient or requires so much planning it's a good reminder to us that we can pick up at a moment's notice and head to the park and have a fun time with free play! The kids loved taking their baby sisters on the slides, the boys enjoyed throwing the football (I even participated in that for a minute, reliving my powderpuff days, if only for a moment), Eden discovered grass and its smell, texture and taste...again and again and again. Bella thought it was so funny when I dug the grass out of Eden's mouth while saying "Gross, Eden, yucky! Ew! Yuck! Don't eat the grass!" And do you know what I enjoyed the most??? Watching my kids giggle and laugh and PLAY together without the interruptions of computers, video games, or cell phones! Oh, and of course the babies are getting so fun now! I think we're getting the hang of this huge family thing!

New Camera!

Eden is watching the other kids play, wondering how they make their legs move like that! Oh, and she absolutely refuses to leave her bow on, so bald is what you get!

Bella has turned into a cheesy grinner! We love her cute grins, which are always accompanied by a silly cheesy sound!

Hannah has become the little gal whose eyes are always watching, so be careful what you do or say! Very often I will catch her watching me from across the room...

(l-r) Bella, Hannah, Eden

I have been so wanting to get a new camera ever since the babies were born and so finally for my birthday I lumped all the gift money from the past few holidays and forked it up for a new Nikon Camera and I am so excited! I can't let this time pass me by without taking great photos of the kids! So here is an 8 month photo of the girls. This was taken in my parents' backyard, where the grass is actually green (as opposed to our grass here at our house, where the sprinkler system is all messed up but no one has time or energy to address it!). These cute dresses were given to the girls by their Aunt Lisa! Thanks, Lisa!

Vacation? Try misery!

Lesson of the Day: (or week, rather) Bear Lake is no place for 8 month old triplets. Dave's family spent a week up at Bear Lake this week and we had planned to go spend 4 days with them. A couple of days before leaving, I was feeling like I should just let Dave and boys go and me stay home with the babies. Haylee was up at girls' camp the same days of Bear Lake, so she had plans. Thursday morning, I decided that I was just being a party pooper if I didn't go, so I decided to brave it and go. Mistake.

The first hurdle was the extra time it took to get us all ready. I bet adding me and the babies into the mix added on 3 extra hours of packing and loading. But we all tried to be patient to go on a fun family excursion and survived that day. Thursday night at the condo, after being there for only about an hour or so, the babies started to cry...

Bella had a runny nose, and Eden started coughing repetitively. We struggled to manage it, but we were stuck in a condo that hadn't been remodeled since the 70's (I'm not sure if the carpets had beed cleaned since then, either), trying to figure out where to put three baby playpens along with trying to keep Bella contained. Not to mention that we were on the third floor--stairs, of course. Balcony as well. The boys were excited because there were bunkbeds, but did I mention it was hot with no A/C? Needless to say, I slept very little that night. Between Eden coughing and Hannah awakening with a runny nose and not being able to breathe, to Bella awakening in the middle of the night crying because she was in unfamiliar surroundings, I think my longest stretch of sleep was 2 hours. Fortunately my boys are big enough to go out on the lake with grandpa and not with mom and dad, so they headed out Friday morning while I got the girls their morning bottles and changed them all, etc.

The next issue? They couldn't fall asleep anywhere! On top of not feeling well, they'd cry and cry because they didn't know where they were and there was nowhere for them to stretch out and play. I'm sure they weren't reacting to my stress...so I was able to get Hannah to sleep but it took her entire naptime to get Eden and Bella to nap--Eden finally zonked in my arm on the couch and Bella face down on a blanket on the floor. And Hannah awakened.

Of course I didn't want her to awaken the other girls sleeping in the family room, so Hannah and I became prisoners of the bedroom. In the meantime Dave came in to try to take a nap. That didn't work so hot. Dave's mom came over around 1 p.m. to give us a break. Of course the girls were still freaking out to be in unfamiliar surroundings, so they wouldn't eat from anyone but me. (I'm sure they were also having discomfort at eating--I think they must have had earaches or headaches or something.) When I finished feeding them, I threw on my exercise clothes and went for a very LONG walk with my ipod. Thank goodness for that long walk.

By 4 p.m. the babies were still whining and crying and Dave was delirious so I took the babies for a walk in the stroller. This was the calm hour of the day. They enjoyed it and even dozed for a bit. Of course I was roasting but I didn't mind because they had finally calmed down. When I got back an hour and a half later, Dave was awake, Hannah was crying, and Dave asked what I thought about packing up and heading home? Why on earth did I cave to the desire to not be a party pooper in the first place??? Had I stayed home Dave and boys could have had a glorious day golfing, boating, mini-golfing, swimming, etc....

Well, hindsight is 20/20, right? I took the babies to the pool with Ben. Note to other future triplet moms...taking three babies swimming by yourself doesn't really work AT ALL. But I needed to do something to kill time while Dave took Tyson on a last boating excursion, and the babies loved splashing in the water, even though they didn't love taking turns. When they all starting crying again in unison, I headed back to the condo and tried to get some dinner going. I felt so bad for the family next door who was probably wondering how many babies we could possibly have in our condo and why on earth were they crying so much. In fact, they were thinking, why on earth would anyone bring three babies to Bear Lake anyway??? Who is crazy enough to do that? (me, I would say...yes, I didn't want to spoil the party...) Dave returned and we started packing. After 3 more hours of babies screaming into the evening, we finally had the car loaded up and I hit the road at about 10:30 p.m. I convinced Dave to stay with our two younger boys so that the trip would not be completely IN VAIN! They could ride home with his parents today, Saturday. Tanner wasn't feeling well so he headed home with me. Fortunately the babies were able to crash in the car and finally relax, and when I laid them into bed at 2 a.m. this morning, I think they were thrilled to see their cribs!

After unpacking the cooler and perishables and unloading the car, I finally fell into bed at 2:50 a.m., exhausted. Isn't it great that I proved that I'm not a party pooper?!!!

Note to self: Bear Lake is no vacation for 3 sick babies, or anyone associated or even within earshot of them! That was 36 of the most excruciating vacation hours I've ever spent!

8 months old

8 months old! We are SO BIG! (l-r Eden, Hannah, Bella)

You know that feeling when each day seems to drag on forever, but the accumulation of them adds up so quickly you have no idea where the time has gone? Well, my sweet triplets are now 8 MONTHS OLD!!! Somehow I have managed to keep them alive for 8 full months! They are getting more adorable every single day. Bella started crawling on July 5th, Eden cut the first tooth of them all on July 9th, Hannah's hair is getting longer, all three girls are sitting up, giggling, jibber-jabbering, and loving life! And I adore these sweet little babies.

The other night I had the opportunity to go on a gals' outing with my Tate gals (Dave's mom, sisters, and sis-in-law) and on our way home I asked them to share their recent life lessons . I love to ask this question of people and hear their responses. I am of the opinion that, as a rule, we spend way too much time talking about nothing and too little time talking about the important stuff. And if I am to learn from other people's experiences, it helps to know what they are learning from them! Anyhow, my sisters in law spoke about patience and learning to recognize the hand of the Lord in every aspect of their lives. Yup, that's good stuff. When they asked me, I had to reply that the past year of my life has been about COURAGE. The willingness to go forward into the dark and unknown. The willingness to not turn and run at the first signs of struggle but to look ahead with trust in the Lord, knowing that He will certainly provide a way to walk or leap or run or whatever it takes to go through the trial. There have been countless times when I have heard the little voice inside my head shiver with fear at what lies ahead of me but somehow God has given me the COURAGE to move forward and keep going. My heavens, the pregnancy alone took more courage than I ever imagined I could muster. And you know what, I have adapted. People tell me daily that they cannot imagine how I do what I do. If anything, this experience has given me a great understanding of the human capacity to adapt to our circumstances. I admit that I desperately need the assistance that is given to me by my mom, and Dave's mom, and others who have shown up to help. In fact, I would be locked up in an asylum by now if not for all the help. But I have adapted. Yesterday I took the girls for a long walk in the triple jogger and a woman pulled over in front of us and got out of her car to admire the girls. She said, "I know that parents of multiples hate this, but I just HAVE to see your babies." In my mind I caught myself thinking, "Oh yeah, I AM a parent of multiples!" I know that it's unique to have triplets, but I'm just Julie and these are just my babies. I don't know if that makes sense, except to say that I forget that we are so unique to everyone else. Well, I'm beginning to ramble. And my 5 year old has been screaming for 30 minutes because he is so OVER-TIRED. My fault, should've put him to bed 3 hours ago. Isn't the first parenting mistake I've made, and most certainly won't be the last...

A recent addition to our home is a wall hanging that reads: "When you come to the end of everything you know...and the next step is into the darkness of the great unkown...you must believe one of two things: either you will step out onto firm ground or you will be taught to fly." I'm doing a little of both firm ground and learning to fly.

I encourage you to start to share your life lessons with others. And ask them to share theirs with you. It's nice to hear about each other's days and where we got our new shoes (I love shoes!), but so much more powerful to learn what life is teaching us. In the meantime, I will be here, with these cute 8 month olds, watching them giggle and grow, and facing the future with COURAGE!

FAMILY!!!

Woolstenhulme family in Provo, July 6, 2009 (Me and the kids are on the far right in the picture, the triplets are being blinded by the sun on the front row)

I seized the chance to take the kids down to Provo for a reunion of sorts with many of my family on my mom's side (Woolstenhulme). My uncle Steve (my mom's bro) and his family were here from Texas and Arizona for a baby blessing and summer reunion of their own and invited us all to join them. Strangely enough, my kids accompanied me without struggle and we all went down sans Dave, who was working, to meet at a park in Provo and we had such a great time! Many of my cousins had never seen the triplets and my kids had fun playing with some of their 2nd cousins. They even gathered together willingly for a family photo. WOW! It's amazing how much fun you can have when your kids cooperate. Maybe someday they'll realize how much more fun THEY have when they cooperate! They played catch and badminton, ate yummy food, played on the playground, and enjoyed a summer evening. I cannot begin to express how my heart sang when I looked over and saw my four older children playing badminton TOGETHER and laughing and having fun! For a minute I was wondering if aliens had descended and replaced my children with lookalikes who didn't know that my children like to fight with each other. Not to worry, once we got in the car for the 30 minute ride home, the children I know and love returned so they could enjoy bickering and "one-upping" each other quite loudly while arguing over the radio station and seating arrangements. Nonetheless, for a couple of hours, we were engrossed in family bliss!

Pictures from our travels

Haylee teaching Hannah about the butterfly...

Look at those beach babes...Lauren and Haylee

Tyson and Cole took turns burying each other in the sand!

Ben loves the water and the waves chasing him.

The girls loved swimming, and it helped that the water was about 90 degrees in the swimming pool.

Tanner is quite the guy all decked out for boogie-boarding--where did my little boy go?

I wanted to post a few pictures from our wonderful trip to West Palm Beach, Florida! I was feeling brave one day so I agreed to travel there with my parents and my kids (and Dave) for a week in the sun. The kids had so much fun playing in the sand and water with their cousins and I enjoyed having more hands around to help with the babies. The girls went swimming for their first time and were adorable and absolutely loved it. We survived the travel--the way there was pretty flawless, the flight home...well, we made it. Dave had gone home a couple of days earlier so I flew home with my parents and all my children. There were two or three women on the plane who pointed out the obvious by telling me "You've got your hands full." Yep, and my heart full, too! FULL OF LOVE! And boy do we love Florida!

Grandpa Bathtime

Eden gets a bath from Grandpa Halversen!

There's nothing quite like a grandpa bath! I have to give my dad and Dave's dad credit. These two men are the most hands-on grandpas I know! They are so wonderful and these babies just adore their grandpas!

Thoughts

Thought of the Day: My brain is mush. I'm tired and feeling lost. I'm ready for my reconstructive surgery to put abs and everything back where it goes but haven't planned it yet. My clothes don't fit. I'm tired, did I mention that? I don't remember how to connect with my hubby. My back hurts. What on Earth was God thinking? Does He REALLY think I can get through this? I'm trying so hard to keep my chin up, but my chin is getting really heavy. My kitchen is a mess. I need exercise. At least the babies' ear infections are getting better--so why are they still waking me up at 3:30 a.m.?

By the way, I had some x-rays done the other day (some of you know that I have had chronic back pain for about 5 years now) and they show my cervical spine to have completely lost its curve, my head sits off to one side, one of my shoulders is lower than the other, and my lumbar curve is exaggerated to compensate for the lack of curve in my cervical. Many disc spaces are narrowed and my facet joints in my lumbar are jammed up. OUCH!!! The Dr. asked me if I was surprised to see my xrays look so bad. Of course I wasn't surprised! I didn't come in to get them done because I think my spine is healthy! OUCH!!! No wonder I have pain. I am planning to try a new rehab program I found here in South Jordan at a place called "Integrated Wellness" that is supposed to restore my spinal curve, correct my posture, and restore some of my health. After all these years of pain I can't help but be skeptical, but if it will resolve my issues that would be heavenly. I am so used to pain every day that I don't think I give it any credit anymore, but it's there with me all the time and I'm just sick of it!

Another thought of the day: Why has this experience turned me into a cynic?

Thursday, June 11, 2009

thought of the day

Triplet Mom thought of the Day: The other day I was talking to a friend who knows someone who has 20-year-old triplets. That mother told her that if I ever say that I'm doing fine, then I'm lying. Okay people, here's the deal. If you ask me how I am and I say I'm fine, I'm assuming that you know that I'm saying that I'm fine...CONSIDERING MY CIRCUMSTANCES! So my being fine means that I'm not melting down and screaming and kicking, that my love for my babies is greater than my need to run away today, and that I'm hanging in there. It doesn't mean that I feel terrific and that this is all a walk in the park. Got it?!!!

Tiptoe through the tulips...

yum, yum...

if I just reach a little further...

What are you looking at?

Can you believe that these babies are already six months old??? I had to seize a moment and snap their picture in the tulips. It's beautiful to watch the girls experience the world! Hannah wanted to eat them, Eden wanted to grab them, and Bella wanted to hold them. It was precious. They are precious! The tulips have moved on but we will cherish these photos of the girls seeing them for the first time forever!

We Love Doctor Terry

I never posted a picture of Dr. Terry because the babies went right to the NICU from delivery and so I wasn't able to get a picture of them with him. Many of you know Dr. Terry and love him as much as I now do. He was so wonderful to me--intuitive, thoughtful, concerned and caring, and always had my best interest and the best interest of the babies as his first priority. I know that he is part of the reason these babies arrived here safely and healthy, and I'm so thankful he was a huge part of this amazing experience! We were able to snap this picture at the singles' ward where he is a bishop when we went to hear Dave's parents speak. Can't you tell that the girls' love Dr. Terry also?!!!

NURSERY FINALLY COMPLETE!

Here's the view of the nursery from the doorway

Pictures of the girls and pink wall decor hang above the cribs.

Clippie board and towel hanger; Eden sleeps here.

Hannah and Bella sleep here.

I can't believe we finally put the finishing touches on the nursery! We had it for the most part set up when the babies came home, but I hadn't hung all of the wall decor. I made the bedding last summer with my sis-in-law, Megan, and a month ago I walked into Ross and there were the curtains that matched the pattern I'd used! At $4.99/panel, it was a no-brainer! I was going to use leftover fabric to make some, but this is WAY better! My dad came out 2 weeks ago and hung the curtains and the final 16 x 20 picture of the girls in snow hats and voila! Nursery complete! This is the only REAL nursery I have ever had, since when Haylee was born she shared her bedroom with our computer desk, then every other child shared a bedroom with a bigger kid so I never really did up a nursery before! I love it!
